A POPULAR Denny's restaurant with more than five decades of history will soon be moving to a new location.
The shift will be a big change for residents of Victoria, Canada, a waterfront city about 80 miles south of Vancouver.

"We will be adjoining the Victoria Sandman Hotel and are excited to bring new facilities and a refreshed environment to our valued guests," Denny's Canada said in a press release last week.
The hotel is located just a few blocks south of the current location.
"Whether you're coming home from downtown shopping and Tea at the Empress or staying in the Sandman Victoria and require an outstanding meal, Denny's Victoria will be open seven days a week, serving our deliciously classic menu items," the release says.
It's not yet clear when the new space will open leaving customers uncertain.

"Our on-site Denny's Restaurant is estimated to be ready by Fall of next year," says an announcement on the hotel's website.
But workers at the location told Victoria Buzz the new restaurant will open next month.
It will replace the Shark Club, a longstanding bar that had been in business for nearly three decades when it closed last year.
The new space includes an outdoor patio which will be a "perfect place for after-work cocktails, date night, or a spirited place to watch the game with friends," a Denny's supervisor told Victoria Buzz.

"Whether you’re hungry now or when everyone’s asleep, you’re set with round-the-clock service," Sandman's release says.
This addition comes as the Sandman is expanding.
The hotel will soon double the number of rooms to 200.
Denny's is still operating at the original location at this time, which is open from 7am to 11pm seven days a week.
Last month, the owners of a Denny's location in California announced that it would soon be converted into an IHOP.
